I finally got around to doing this, yaaay! 
Anyway, these are LuLu's parents, Paint Splash and Viola Belle~
Paint Splash grew up in the snowy regions, hence his colouring, and decided to move out to Manehattan to pursue his dream of being an artist. Around this time, Viola Belle decided she wanted to be a model. But despite being from an influential family, who always told her she was beautiful, they thought her dream was nonsense and told her she had her head in the clouds. She decided to pursue her dream anyway, and that's when she and Paint Splash met. He used her as a model for many of his paintings and they both eventually fell in love. A while later they decided they wanted to settle down, so they moved to Ponyville where LuLu Belle was born.
Now that LuLu is old enough to be on her own, they went back to Manehattan to live in the large house Viola inherited.
And yes, I actually had that whole story in my head from the very first time I designed LuLu~
